幾種情─王嬿婷個展
王嬿婷畢業於中原大學會計系，2016開始接觸繪畫，她善於觀察生活周遭的一景一樹、運用照片記錄，並加入個人的記憶與經驗，構思畫面。她的油畫擺脫一般觀眾對於油畫用色厚重且鮮艷的印象，深具個人風格特色。
本次「幾種情」展名來自台語，表現王嬿婷對於母校中原大學的情懷，展出作品不僅表現生活環境的景色，也將家人入畫，而作品取名結合畫內元素與文字諧音，觀賞畫作再閱讀畫名，常令人會心一笑。
王嬿婷喜歡以畫筆記錄自己所熟悉的人事物，近年全心全意投入繪畫累積可觀的創作，更以素人之姿獲得兩次全國性比賽獎項。本次展覽為藝術家的首次個展，她期望透過展覽，分享創作，並期許未來畫出更多感動人心的作品。
A Medley of Emotions－Solo Exhibition by Yan-Ting WANG
Yan-Ting WANG, a graduate of the Department of Accounting at Chung Yuan Christian University, embarked on her journey in painting in 2016. She possesses a keen ability to observe the beauty in the mundane, capturing scenes and trees that surround her life. Through the lens of photography, she merges personal memories and experiences, channeling them into her imaginative compositions. Her oil paintings break free from the conventional expectation of dense and vibrant colors often associated with the medium, instead bearing a unique and personal stylistic touch.
The title of her exhibition, A Medley of Emotions, is derived from the local Taiwanese dialect, reflecting Yan-Ting’s profound sentiment towards her alma mater, Chung Yuan Christian University. Her showcased works not only capture the landscapes of her everyday environment, but also incorporate her family members, fusing visual elements with heartfelt emotions. The titles of her pieces cleverly intertwine elements within the artwork with phonetic wordplay, eliciting knowing smiles from viewers who appreciate the delightful connection.
Yan-Ting delights in using her brush to chronicle the people and things familiar to her. In recent years, she has dedicated herself wholeheartedly to painting, amassing an impressive body of work. Despite her self-described amateur status, she has garnered national awards in two prestigious competitions. This exhibition marks her debut solo showcase, where she hopes to share her creative journey, and anticipates crafting even more heart-stirring pieces that resonate with audiences in the future.
