林錦宏、梁月娥：繪畫、設計與生活
設計者在處理設計案時須以客觀的觀察做分析，最終以主觀的方式做呈現；藝術的表現亦同，繪畫者需將其所見，或思考的景象、畫面、色彩透過媒材或以畫面描寫，又或以不同的空間架構來表現自己的想法及理念。
在本次「繪畫、設計與生活」中，展出者嘗試由設計從業者的身份與視角，跨領域地用繪畫的方式來表現以及分享在生活的記憶與感覺。展出者林錦宏與梁月娥為設計及廣告從業人員，他們認為每個人可能都有喜好繪畫及追求美好事物的初心，只是現代生活的日子節奏太快，很多感覺都已經被稀釋到成為淡泊，即使有時在驚鴻一瞥的感受之下，想要有所記錄創作，但只要一想到要準備的材料及空間，若再加上時間的限制，往往便瞬間冷卻，甚至作罷。
本次展出作品多以粉彩創作，粉彩是一種色彩豐富、攜帶方便、且不受時間限制，隨時可以開始或停止的創作媒材。作品內容除了生活所見之外，也常與創作者處理的設計案有所關連，有時是庭園、有時是水槽或是料理、有時是路上的景色，但最終都回歸於生活。創作者期望透過展覽，呈現粉彩的特色外，進而推廣繪畫藝術，讓對繪畫有興趣的人們可以由好入手的媒材及小型作品開始創作，藉由不斷練習，進一步地將繪畫融入生活，描繪出每個人的心靈故事，並走向藝術世界，
Ching-Hung LIN and Yueh-E LIANG: Painting, design and life
In the realm of design, creators engage in objective analysis when approaching their projects, but ultimately, they convey their vision through a subjective lens. Similarly, art finds its expression through the eyes of the artist, where scenes, images, and colors born from observation or contemplation are translated onto canvas or through various spatial constructs, revealing the artist’s unique thoughts and philosophies.
In this exhibition, titled Painting, Design, and Life, the exhibitors endeavor to traverse the boundaries through painting to express and share the memories and emotions of life from the unique perspective of their roles as design practitioners. Ching-hung LIN and Yueh-E LIANG, both practitioners in the fields of design and advertising, share a common belief that each individual harbors an innate love for painting and a pursuit of beauty. It’s just that the relentless pace of modern life has often diluted these sentiments into mere faint echoes. Even when we catch fleeting moments of inspiration, the thought of preparing the materials, finding the space, and dealing with the constraints of time can extinguish the creative spark in an instant.
The showcased artworks predominantly employ pastel as their medium—a choice attributed to its rich palette, convenience, and the absence of temporal constraints. Pastel allows for creation to commence or cease at any moment. While the subjects of their creations often draw inspiration from everyday life, they also bear a connection to the design projects these artists engage with. Sometimes it’s a garden, at other times a sink, or perhaps a culinary scene. Yet, all roads lead back to life itself. Through this exhibition, the creators aspire to not only showcase the distinctive qualities of pastel as a medium, but also to promote the art of painting. They hope to encourage those with an interest in painting to embark on their creative journey, starting with accessible materials and small-scale works. Through persistent practice, they aim to integrate the art of painting into everyday life, allowing individuals to depict their inner narratives and journey into the world of artistry.
