「絕色」原畫展
「絕色」展覽藝術家Shawli，為臺灣新生代畫家，美國大學傳統西洋美術科班出身，受西洋美術與西方文化薰陶影響，用色強烈明亮，很早即進入電腦數位繪圖領域，長期參與臺灣、美國、日本、法國與加拿大遊戲美術製作，作品可見於各大網路藝術平台，國內外遊戲，藝術插畫雜誌、各式多元題材書籍封面，善於用顏色講故事，唯美浪漫且鮮豔明亮的畫風為其特色。
Shawli自草圖至完稿全程使用電腦繪圖，但以傳統繪圖技巧完成作品，將現代科技與古典畫技融合。Shawli選擇以紙張或畫布展出原作，以貫徹自身遵循創作就是傳統與現代結合的想法。為忠實呈現電腦繪圖的鮮艷美麗色澤，部分作品輸出後，再做手繪、貼金箔或手工刷上透明保護膠，以保留筆觸刷痕，呈現細緻筆觸與重量感，讓畫作呈現夢幻又帶些許真實的氛圍。
「絕色」原畫展，展出「臺灣花精靈」、「四聖獸」、「她們的四季」、「原民女神」、「公主，徹夜未眠」系列作品。「絕色」意喻極其美麗的女子容色，亦指極美的顏色。以此展覽名稱強調Shawli使用電腦繪圖的用色特殊性，並同時呼應Shawli的作品理念：女性的性感與勇敢。「絕色」原畫展以傳統媒材呈現電腦繪圖特有的明艷色彩，連結傳統藝術與電腦科技，以色彩吸引觀者前來，期待作品的溫暖質感能安撫人們的急躁焦慮，讓人們在現代技術前，用最純粹的審美心情欣賞美麗的藝術呈現。
Shawli’s Colorful Exhibition
Shawli, a rising star among Taiwanese painters, hails from a traditional Western art background at an American University. Influenced by Western art and culture, her work emanates with vibrant, luminous colors. She ventured into the realm of digital artistry at an early stage, contributing her talents to game art production in Taiwan, the United States, Japan, France, and Canada. Her creations grace prominent online art platforms and can be found in both Taiwanese and international games, art illustration magazines, and a diversity of book covers. Shawli is a masterful storyteller through her use of color, and her signature style is a harmonious blend of exquisite romanticism and vivid luminosity.
Shawli’s artistic journey takes her from sketches to finished masterpieces entirely through digital drawing tools. Yet, she employs traditional drawing techniques to complete her works, seamlessly fusing modern technology with classical artistry. Shawli chooses to exhibit her original pieces on paper or canvas, staying true to her belief that true artistry is the fusion of tradition and modernity. In her pursuit of faithfully reproducing the vibrant and beautiful colors of digital art, some of her pieces undergo manual touch-ups, gold leafing, or the delicate application of transparent protective coatings after printing. This meticulous process preserves the nuances of her brushstrokes, presenting a delicate balance of fine details and substance, evoking a dreamlike yet subtly tangible atmosphere within her artwork.
Shawli’s Colorful Exhibition showcases collections like Taiwanese Flower Fairies, The Four Divine Beasts, Their Four Seasons, Indigenous Goddesses, and The Princess Who Stayed Awake All Night. The exhibition title, Colorful Exhibition, alludes to the extraordinary beauty of female creatures and the striking use of colors inherent in Shawli’s digital art. It also resonates with the underlying theme of her work: the sensuality and bravery of women. This exhibition employs traditional art and computer technology. Through the enchanting power of colors, it beckons viewers to experience the soothing warmth and embrace of art, offering respite from the hurried pace of modern life. It invites people to appreciate the beauty of artistic expression with the purest of aesthetic sensibilities in the face of cutting-edge technology.
